CIMAC Newsletter July 2023 | I am greeting you from back home in Frankfurt, I trust all of you travelled safely home from Busan. It was a great pleasure to be meeting all of you in person in South Korea at CIMAC 23. It was a very intense week, with lots of exchange, building new connections, taking away many learnings from all the lectures and posters and now I am already looking forward to Zurich 25.
My personal highlight was the Technical Tour to HHI. Speaking about the technology and then standing in front of a dry dock for the first time is a big difference – very impressive. I sense a big drive in the ICE industry for transformation and I am happy to be part of this community. Our community is growing, next to new corporate members from Turkey and Canada we will also welcome the new NMA Greece during 2023. And with London International Shipping Week in September and Marintec in December we will have more chances to exchange in person this year – looking forward to it.
Daniel Erdmann
Deputy Secretary General
