CIMAC has reached a significant milestone by being granted consultative status with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) in July 2024. This achievement marks a pivotal moment for the association, enabling it to actively engage in key IMO committees that are critical to its members, including the Sub-Committee on Ship Design and Construction (SDC), the Sub-Committee on Ship Systems and Equipment (SSE), the Facilitation Committee (FAL), the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC), and the Maritime Safety Committee (MSC).
To provide an overview of CIMAC's progress, upcoming initiatives, and strategic direction with the IMO, CIMAC will host
a virtual town hall meeting on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM CEST.
This event will offer members and stakeholders an opportunity to learn how their interests are being represented and how they can contribute to advancing CIMAC’s work within the IMO.
