CIMAC Board and CIMAC Council new held meetings in Frankfurt/Germany. These meetings at the same time in one location always provide a good opportunity for networking and direct exchange. Almost every country was represented at the board meeting. An important topic on the agenda was the future activity within the framework of the International Maritime Organization (IMO). CIMAC was officially granted consultative status in July 2024. The task now is to organize the work efficiently. The upcoming CIMAC Congress was also a central topic in board and council. This 31st CIMAC World Congress will take place from May 19-23, 2025, in Zurich. Some 800 participants are expected. Other topics on the agenda: events in 2025 during Norshipping, London Shipping Week and Marintec, digitalization, the fight against greenhouse gases, exchange of experience in the different countries, regional events, and more.
